Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) and events firm Informa created the new joint venture (JV) Tahaluf in line with the Saudi Vision 2030’s objective to diversify the Kingdom’s economy and provide high-value employment opportunities for Saudi citizens.

Through Tahaluf, SAFCSP will be expanding its mission to boost growth in key economic sectors across Saudi Arabia in order to include the events industry, according to a recent press release.

Tahaluf will deploy Informa’s expertise to create a world-class events sector in Saudi Arabia which will further enhance economic diversification, secure access to new markets for international businesses, attract foreign investment, and reinforce the modernisation of business activity across the Kingdom.

Furthermore, Tahaluf will provide career paths for the Saudi youth, not just in events but also in the wider creative and digital economies, including communications, branding, digital marketing, and digital product development.

Meanwhile, the joint venture will license Informa’s brands to launch a group of new business-to-business (B2B) events, digital experiences, and services in 2023 and beyond that will initially focus on strategic sectors, such as technology, real estate, pharmaceuticals, food, health and beauty, tourism, as well as hospitality.

Mike Champion, Regional Executive Vice President of Informa Markets, highlighted that Tahaluf aims to foster the growth of strategically important industries within Saudi Arabia.
