Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt’s Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade said that the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) offered on 30 November 2022 a total of 10,000 tonnes of imported Russian wheat, Ahram Gate reported on Thursday.
The wheat is offered for sale at private sector mills at a price of EGP 9,750 per tonne through the Egyptian Mercantile Exchange (EMX). A total of 17 purchase transactions have been already carried out.
The number of purchase orders registered on the EMX amounted to 31 orders with a total volume of 21,116 tonnes. This is 100% higher than the quantity offered by the GASC as a seller at a price averaging EGP 9,766.
The EMX is holding its third session on Sunday, 4 December 2022 at 2 p.m. CLT.
