Riyadh – Mubasher: The Future Minerals Forum (FMF) unveiled new partnerships with think tank entities and research institutions as part of its preparations to host the second edition of the forum next year in Riyadh.

The collaboration will be with Development Partner Institute, Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, Clareo, and the Payne Institute, according to a press release.

Industry leaders and stakeholders will be part of the three-day event, which will feature several topics such as sustainability, the global outlook and future of mining, how the mining industry plays a critical role in energy transition, in addition to the contribution of minerals to the development of societies, digital transformation, and integrated value chains.

The event is launched by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, with its second edition to take place during 10-12 January 2023.

The first edition of the forum was held in January 2022, where more than 2,000 decision makers from over 100 countries around the world attended.

It is worth noting that the World Bank projected up to a five-fold growth in demand for several critical metals by 2050.
