Cairo – Mubasher: The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Poland reached EUR 700,000 in 2021, Ahram Gate reported.

In a press conference on the margin of the Food Africa 2022 Conference, Poland’s Ambassador to Egypt, Michał Łabenda, said Egypt’s imports of Polish apples amounted to $10 million last year, adding that the Egyptian market is one of Poland’s largest and key markets.

During the first nine months (9M) of 2022, the trade exchange between Egypt and Poland rose by 10%.

The ambassador reiterated that his country is facing difficulties in exporting apples to Egypt amid the political tensions represented in the Russian-Ukrainian War.

Taking place during 5-7 December 2022, Food Africa is the largest trade fair in Africa dedicated to the food and agricultural industries.

The specialised conference welcomes local and international experts and researchers in the fields of food service and food technologies and explores numerous agro-food related topics, including food safety, digitalisation and innovation in the food sector, and agriculture innovation projects while highlighting excellence and success stories in the food business.
