Cairo – Mubasher: RiseUp Summit will be held in Egypt during March 2023, instead of this year, according to a press release.
The 2022 event was scheduled to be held during 8-10 December in Cairo, however, the RiseUp team stated: “We are confident that with this move, we will be bringing in more opportunities and ultimately more value to the ecosystem.”.
The statement added that moving the event to March next year would align with the celebration of 10 years of RiseUp.
Headquartered in Downtown Cairo, RiseUp is a platform that connects startups to relevant resources around the globe. It enables startup ecosystem shareholders to exchange the seven resources any emerging business needs to expand; knowledge, talent, funding, marketplace, media, toolbox, and inspiration.
Riyadh recently held the first edition of RiseUp Saudi Arabia, which took place at the King Abdullah Financial District during 19-21 November 2022.
The three-day event brought together more than 10,000 participants, over 150 startups, in addition to 150 investors and 200 speakers worldwide.
It is worth noting that the summit was backed by the National Technology Development Program (NTDP) of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, with the collaboration of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones (SAFCSP).
