Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, announced that Sunday, 8 January 2023, will be an official holiday on the occasion of the Coptic Christmas.

The holiday will be paid for all employees at ministries, governmental facilities, public authorities, local administration units, public sector companies, public enterprise sector, and the private sector in Egypt, according to a recent Cabinet statement.

However, exams will continue as scheduled. 

Sunday vacation comes instead of 7 January 2023, which will be on Saturday, the usual weekend in the country.
