Egypt's foreign reserves grow to $34bn in December 2022

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's foreign reserves reached $34 billion at the end of December 2022, a surge of $468 million when compared to $33.53 billion in November 2022.

By the end of September 2022, the Arab country’s foreign reserves registered $33.19 billion, compared to $33.14 billion in August 2022, according to data from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

Earlier, the CBE Governor said the central bank seeks to double foreign reserves within four years.

It is worth noting that Egypt’s international reserves mainly consist of the US dollar, the euro, the British pound sterling (GBP), the Japanese yen, and the Chinese yuan.
