Mubasher: Kuwait-based airline Jazeera Airways announced the potential establishment of a low-cost airline in Saudi Arabia.

The new entity will be founded along with Saudi partners and will be based at the King Fahad International Airport in Dammam, according to a press release.

Jazeera Airways noted that the new airline comes in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to expand and endorse the tourism and aviation sector.

The Kuwaiti airline stated: “Coordination is underway with the regulatory authorities in the Kingdom to complete procedures to obtain the necessary licenses in accordance with the applicable laws.”

This announcement followed the news of establishing Riyadh Air as a wholly owned firm by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) to boost the Kingdom’s strategic geographic location among Asia, Africa, and Europe.
