Cairo – Mubasher: The shareholders of Egyptian Financial and Industrial Company (EFIC) greenlighted a dividend distribution of EGP 5 per share for 2022, according to a bourse disclosure.

The ordinary general meeting (OGM), which was held on 21 March 2023, indicated that the cash dividends will be paid to shareholders over three instalments.

Last year, the consolidated net profits after tax of EFIC hit EGP 755.85 million, higher than EGP 304.18 million in 2021.

The basic earnings per share (EPS) hiked to EGP 9.42 as of 31 December 2022 from EGP 3.53 in 2021, while the net sales climbed to EGP 3.67 billion from EGP 2.75 billion.

As for the standalone business registered in 2022, the company’s net profits and sales amounted to EGP 489.94 million and EGP 1.79 billion, respectively.
