Cairo – Mubasher: Elsewedy ED Tech, part of Elsewedy group, is establishing ElSewedy University of Technology (SUT) – Polytechnic of Egypt to be an educational institution, in cooperation with Amity University in Dubai.

The initiative is part of Elsewedy ED Tech's commitment to boosting the quality of education and cultivating a local workforce that is in compliance with Egypt's vision for advancing various industries, according to a press release.

The educational facility will offer more than 19 specialised programmes that give priority to practical applications over theoretical concepts while introducing engineering technologists to the Egyptian market.

Chairman of Elsewedy ED Tech, Ahmed Elsewedy, said: "The expansion of technological higher Eeducation is vital in keeping up with the needs of modern industries. In this vein, El Sewedy Education of Technology aspires to introduce new specialisations that strengthen the competencies of young cadres, thereby reducing the need for foreign expertise and enabling us to export these skilled professionals to global markets.”

Elsewedy added: “The polytechnic framework offers an integrated educational model that enables students to collaborate with private sector partners in various industrial fields, providing them with a comprehensive educational experience that equips them with both theoretical and practical knowledge, thus preparing them for their professional journey.”

Elsewedy ED Tech aims to establish universities that adopt a pioneering educational approach that can qualify students with the requisite skills and knowledge imperative for succeeding in the job market.

Earlier this year in February, the listed Elsewedy Electric Company said that through its Ed Tech arm private universities of technology will be built across Egypt in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The objective is to provide Egyptian industries with highly qualified, trained, and skilled experts in the technology sector.

Meanwhile, it was unveiled back then that the first private technological University, ElSewedy University of Technology – SUT, would run the first admission round in Fall 2023.
