Egypt's Beltone Financial Holding will present a project for restoring and renewing downtown Cairo at this week’s economic summit, said Aladdin Saba, Beltone’s CEO.
The restoration will include Tahrir Square – the epicentre of the 2011 revolt and a busy traffic junction – as well as Opera and Ibrahim Pasha squares, Saba told state-run MENA news agency. All work will be done in coordination with Cairo government authorities, the CEO said.
Beltone will carry out the project through Ismailia Real Estate Investment Co, which owns a property portfolio of 22 units in downtown Cairo, distributed between residential, administrative and commercial properties.
The Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh from 13 to 15 March under the theme of “Egypt the Future”, with the aim of showcasing the country’s four-year economic reform programme to the international community.
