Cairo-Mubasher:  A top delegation from Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and its Egyptian subsidiary will take part in Egypt’s economic summit this week, ADIB-Egypt said on Tuesday.

The delegation from Egypt’s unit will be headed by CEO Nevin Lotfy and Zainab Hashim, CEO of ADIB Capital-Egypt, according to the bank’s statement.

“The conference is a key step towards vitalising Egypt’s various economic sectors,” Lotfy said. “We are confident that the event will be a real starting point for several projects in the service and investment sectors and thus help achieve economic growth.”

For her part, Hashim invited local and foreign investors to support the efforts of Egypt’s government to bolster the economy, through contributing to projects that will be showcased at the summit.

The official also said that ADIB Capital has been promoting the projects assigned to it by the government for more than two months.

ADIB Capital is currently marketing several government projects, mainly an energy plant, in addition to two other projects in Port Ghalib. ADIB and ADIB Capital are also promoting an oil refinery project and projects for the transport ministry under the public private partnership (PPP) system.
