Eng. Thamer Al Sharhan, Managing Director of Acwa Power, said his company has invested $90 billion in water and energy sectors in eight countries including Saudi Arabia.
Al Sharhan said in the Saudi Energy 2014 conference that there are several agreements between the country and the private sector with the aim of strengthening relations.
He added that the joint investment initiative comes in line with the new investment strategy and the directions of the board members.
“This agreement will help diversify investments and achieve the strategic goals through creating investment opportunities in the GCC in particular and the Arab region in general,” the top official said.
He noted that Acwa Power signed the project of Rabigh II with a production capacity of 2000
