Amman benchmark index rose by 1.36% and closed this week at 2138.2 points compared with its closing at 2109.4 points last week.

The three sectors increased and boosted the index. The financial sector increased by 1.42%, the industry sector increased by 2.25% and the services sector rose by 0.6%.

Shares of 182 companies participated in trading this week, 108 rose, 35 declined, while the remaining ones kept flat.

The top three gainers during the week were, the Jordan Emirates Insurance Company P.s.c by 29.63%, Jordan Steel by 27.45% and The Jordan Cement Factories by 25.38%.

The top three losers were, the Arab Center For Pharm.& Chemicals by 27.64%, Alshamekha For Realestate And Financial Investments by 14.79% and Al-bilad Medical Services by 6.21%.

The daily average turnover this week logged JOD 7.4 million compared with JOD 5.1 million last week, with an increase of 44.9%. Total of 35.7 million shares were traded this week through 19548 transactions at a total turnover of JOD 37.1 million compared with JOD 25.6 million last week.
