The benchmark index of Iraqi Stock Exchange (ISX) rose by 1.14% at Thursday’s session gaining 1.13 points and closed at 100.31 points compared with its yesterday’s closing at 99.18 points.

Total of 3.3 billion shares were traded through 586 transactions at a turnover of IQD 3.9 billion. Out of 43 companies participated in trading, 10 rose, 18 declined and 15 kept flat.

The top three gainers were Ishtar Hotels which increased by 4.7%, Asiacell Communications PJSC which rose by 3.3% and Dijlah and Furat Bank for Development and Investment which rose by 2.9%.

The top three losers were Iraqi Carton Maufacturers Co which declined by 5%, National Bank of Iraq which shed 3.9% and Light Industries Co which decreased by 2.56%.

It should be noted that the Iraqi benchmark index declined yesterday by 1.50% losing 1.51 points and closed at 99.18 points.
