UAE-based financial institution Mashreq has announced the appointment of Vivek Uberoi as the new country head of Mashreq Bank Bahrain.

Mr Uberoi has more than 20 years experience in the banking and financial sector, and has held various senior positions with international banks.

In his new role, he will be responsible for Mashreq's operations, overall positioning and growth of the business in Bahrain.

Prior to joining Mashreq, Mr Uberoi was with Standard Chartered Bank, where he held various senior positions in the region.
