The Palestine Exchange (PEX) closed on Wednesday at 505.67 points, losing 0.41 points or 0.08%. The general index fell to 268.42 points, inching down 0.10% or 0.26 points. Trading volume reached 176.392 THD shares, at a turnover of $334.9 THD, traded through 107 transactions by 12 companies, of which one gained, six dropped and five remained unchanged.
The top gainer was the National Bank, adding 0.84%. Whereas, the top three decliners were: Ahleia Insurance Group by 7.69%, Arab Islamic Bank by 1.8% and Palestine Real Estate Investment Co by 1.79%.
The most active companies were Palestine Development and Investment, Ahleia Insurance Group and the National Bank with a trading volume reaching 38.63 THD, 37 THD, and 27.4 THD shares respectively.
Meanwhile, Palestine Telecommunications, Palestine Development and Investment, and Bank of Palestine were the value leaders, upon generating $121.5 THD, $56.1 THD, and $46.2 THD respectively.
The insurance index led decliners, falling by 0.39%, followed by investment, banks and industrial indices, which dropped 0.39%, 0.26% and 0.12% respectively.
