The Palestine Exchange (PEX) closed on Tuesday at 493.22 points, inching down 0.04% or 0.18 points. The general index dropped 0.07% or 0.19 points to 263.14 points.
Trading volume reached 313.61 THD shares, at a turnover of $1.78 million, traded through 85 transactions by 17 companies, of which three gained, eight dropped and six remained unchanged.
The top three gainers were: Arab Palestinian Investment Co by 4.82%, the National Bank by 0.88%, and Palestine Development and Investment by 0.76%. Whereas, the top three decliners were: Global Com Telecommunication Plc by 10%, Golden Wheat Mills PLC by 3.9%, and Union Construction and Investment by 2.4%.
The most active companies were Palestine Telecommunications, Bank of Palestine, and Palestine Development and Investment with a trading volume reaching 209.5 THD, 25.85 THD, and 20,000 shares respectively.
Meanwhile, Palestine Telecommunications, Bank of Palestine and National Insurance Co were the value leaders, upon generating $1.61 million, $72.1 THD, and $31 THD respectively.
On the sectors level, the investment, and the banking and financial indices added 0.29% and 0.03% respectively, whereas the insurance, the service and the industry indices inched down 0.58%, 0.23% and 0.10% respectively.
