The Palestine Exchange (PEX) closed on Wednesday at 487.76 points, inching up 0.15% or 0.71 points. The general index added 0.14% or 0.30 points to 260.74 points.

Trading volume reached 159.1 THD shares, at a turnover of $238.3 THD, traded through 112 transactions by 16 companies, of which five gained, one dropped and ten remained unchanged.

The top three gainers were: Al Ahleia Insurance by 7.14%, Palestine Real Estate Investment Co by 3.51% and Palestine Islamic Bank by 3.23%. While, the only decliner was Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals Co by 4.71%.

The most active companies were Palestine Development and Investment, Bank of Palestine, and Wataniya Palestine Mobile Telecommunications with a trading volume reaching 62 THD, 41 THD, and 30 THD shares respectively.

Meanwhile, Bank of Palestine, Palestine Development and Investment, and Wataniya Palestine Mobile Telecommunications were the value leaders, upon generating $114.8 THD, $77.5 THD, and $21 THD respectively.

On the sectors level, the investment, the insurance, and the banking and financial indices gained 0.50%, 0.39% and 0.30% respectively, whereas the banking and financial index dropped 0.50%.
