UK-based Threadneedle Investments became a strategic shareholder for The Securities House Company-owned Gatehouse Bank.
Threadneedle acquired 2% of the Gatehouse’s capital through direct investment via monetary contribution to purchase shares.
Such investment is significant for Gatehouse since Threadneedle is running about $148 billion worth of assets, Gatehouse Bank Chairman Fahed Boodai said in a press statement.
The Securities House Company’s capital stands at KWD 68 million, distributed on 680 million shares with a par value of 100 fils per share.
