Bank Dhofar Assures that its debit card systems are safe and secure

BankDhofar would like to confirm that its debit card systems are secure and have not been hacked. Over the weekend of 29-May-15 and 30-May-15 there were some fraud cases on a limited number of debit cards with limited loss.  BankDhofar’s anti-fraud solutions helped mitigate the extent of risk and necessary precautionary steps were taken including reducing the withdrawal limits and blocking appropriate cards.  The issue has been communicated to the customers and dealt with. The estimated loss is in the range of OMR 26,000/= (OMR twenty six thousand only). With the situation under control the ATM withdrawal limits are reinstated back to normal levels.
