Doha-Mubasher: Gulf Drilling International (GDI), 100% owned by Gulf International Services (GIS), has signed a short-term deal setting one of its jack-up drilling rigs in operation.
The deal, backed by Qatar Petroleum, came as a result of GDI’s steps to operate two of its jack-up drilling rigs that went off contract early June, according to a filing to Qatar Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
GDI is committed to place four new assets into service in 2015 and 2016. Profitable work with select clients is also being extended, thus improving financial performance.
