Bahrain – Mubasher: Nass Contracting Co., a subsidiary of Nass Corporation, announced winning an award to develop Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Subah highway in a contract worth BHD 46.8 million, the company revealed in a bourse filing.

The company added the award involved the main works contract for the highway, including the Alba and Nuwaidrat interchanges, by the ministry of works.

The ministry launched a tender for the highway in mid-October 2014, where six companies vied for the award. The KCC-Nass alliance offered the lowest price and was given the award.

This award is part of the Gulf Development Programme, offered by four Gulf countries, with $10 billion worth of financing for development projects in Bahrain over a 10-year period. The programme involves projects in the housing, water and electricity, infrastructure and community services sectors.
