Kuwait – Mubasher: National Mobile Telecommunications (Ooredoo) saw a profit slump of 61% in the first half of 2015, reaching KWD 14.8 million compared with KWD 37.9 million for the same period of the previous year, according to a bourse statement on Sunday.

The lender's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) reached KWD 120.9 million in H1-15, compared with KWD 138 million for the corresponding period of the previous year.

Ooredoo's net profits plunged 88.7% to KWD 2.24 million in the first quarter of 2015, compared with KWD 19.81 million for the same period of 2014.
