Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Methaq Takaful Insurance Co. announced turning to profits in the first half of 2015 with AED 330,555 ($90,000), against a loss of AED 9.640 million ($2.62 million) in H1-14, according to a filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Islamic insurance firm posted a profit of AED 2.08 million ($0.57 million) in Q2, compared to AED 2.17 million ($0.60 million) in Q2-14.

Revenues from insurance premiums fell 26% in H1-15 to AED 95.22 million, compared to AED 129.34 million in the same period the year before.

Methaq previously reported trimming its Q1 losses by 63.36% to AED 1.75 million ($476,000), from AED 4.77 million ($1.3 million) in Q1-14.
