Mubasher: Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) reported a 19.9% rise in its second-quarter profits, according to a bourse statement.

Profits stood at OMR 32 million ($82.54 million) in Q2-16, compared to OMR 26.7 million ($82.54 million) in Q2-15.

In the first half of 2016, profits grew 9% to OMR 66.8 million from OMR 61.3 million in the prior-year period.

Revenues reached OMR 271.6 million in H1-16, up 5.9% from OMR 256.6 million in H1-15.
