Dubai-Mubasher: Arabian Scandinavian Insurance (ASCANA) achieved AED 5.29 million ($1.44 million) losses in the second quarter of 2016 against AED 356,000 ($96,900) profits in Q2-15.

Takaful expenses rose 63.2% to AED 18.05 million in Q2-16, while it hiked 80.1% to AED 40.02 million in H1-16, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.

The company registered AED 13.16 million losses in the first six months of 2016 versus AED 834,000 profits in the same period of the previous year.
