Mubasher: Al Batinah Power Company said on Wednesday that its board of directors approved the distribution of cash dividends of 5.65 baisas per share (5.65% of the capital) for the fiscal year 2015, totalling OMR 3.81 million.

Dividends will be paid out of retained earnings as per the audited financial statements for the fiscal year ended 31 December 2015 to shareholders registered with Muscat Clearing and Depository Company by 11 December, according to a bourse filing.

During its meeting, the board also approved the unaudited financial statements for the nine-month period ended 30 September 2016.

The company’s net profit for the first nine months of 2016 reached OMR 11 million, compared to OMR 10 million for the same period of 2015.
