Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Commercial International Bank (CIB) has raised the monthly limits on the use of debit and credit cards abroad for the first time this month, effective 5 November, the bank's online data revealed Sunday. 

CIB customers using the EGP credit card category (White) will have EGP 750 cash withdrawal limits and EGP 8000 purchase limits.

Classic credit card holders will have a cash withdrawal limit of EGP 1,750 and a purchase limit of EGP 24,000.

Cash limits on the use of Titanium and Platinum credit cards were set at EGP 1,750 for withdrawals, while purchase limits were set at EGP 56,000 and EGP 64,000 respectively.  

In addition, purchase limits on the use of classic, titanium and platinum debit cards were set at EGP10,000, EGP 20,000 and EGP 30,000, correspondingly.

The bank suspended all operation the operation of classic, titanium and platinum cards using the Egyptian pound, setting the purchase limits at EGP 800, EGP 2,400, and EGP 4,800 respectively.
