Mubasher: Al Ahlia Insurance Company trimmed its losses for the third quarter of fiscal 2016 by 84.2% to BHD 174,410 ($447,650), compared tom BHD 1.1 million ($2.82 million) for Q3-15.

The company turned to profitably in the first nine months of 2015 as net profit reached BHD 451,590, against a net loss of BHD 659,890 for the same period of 2015.

Total insurance premiums amounted to BHD 10.59 million in the nine-month period, 29.5% up from BHD 8.18 million for the same period last year, according to a bourse filing released on Monday.

Al Ahlia earlier posted a net profit of BHD 626 million for the first half of 2016, 43.1% up from BHD 437.56 million for H1-15.
