Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Co (QIMC) has signed the contract for establishing the United Company for Chemicals as a limited liability Qatari firm.

The joint venture (JV) is a partnership between K.L.G. Qatar and Gulf Chlorine with a stake accounting for 50% of each company’s capital, the company said in a bourse statement issued on Monday.

The new firm will launch a plant, at the Mesaieed Industrial City, that produces calcium chloride, with a production capacity of 60,000 tons per annum.
