Mubasher: National Hotels posted a 4.6% year-on-year increase in profits in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Earnings amounted to nearly BHD 910,600 ($2.36 million) in Q4-16 as compared to about BHD 870,000 ($2.25 million) in Q4-15, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.

During the twelve months of 2016, profits decreased by 6.9% to BHD 3.51 million from BHD 3.77 million in 2015.

In the nine-month period of 2016, profits decreased by 9.7% to BHD 2.6 million from BHD 2.9 million in the same period in 2015.

The company's board recommended the distribution of BHD 1.310 million as cash dividends for 2016, representing 12% of the capital (BHD 0.12 per share).

National Hotels' capital amounts to BHD 11.025 million, distributed over 110.25 million shares at a nominal value of BHD 0.1.
