Mubasher: Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) on Sunday said it has written off all of its investments in Pakistani company WorldCall Telecom Limited (WTL). 

The company declared that the financial impact of this step was included in the financial accounts for 2015 and 2016, according to the company’s statement to the Muscat Securities Market (MSM).

It added that this will not have a major impact on its financial results. 

Omantel also announced signing an agreement to sell its shares in WTL; however, the deal is pending approval by Pakistani regulators.

The Omani company last reported on Thursday that WTL made an ordinary share offer.
