Cairo - Mubasher: The financial statements of Genial Tours showed a decline in annual profits by 36.7% year-on-year in 2016, according to a bourse filing.

The company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Monday that profits totalled EGP 740,200 in last year, compared to profits of EGP 1.17 million in 2015.

Revenues decreased to EGP 5.07 million in 2016 down from EGP 7.3 million in the year before.

Genial Tours said in a separate bourse filing that its financial results were not affected by freeing exchange rates and floating the Egyptian pound.

Distributable profits amounted to EGP 1.1 million, however, a decision regarding the distribution of cash dividends has not been taken yet, the statement added.
