Mubasher: The board of directors of Al Batinah Power Company approved distributing 2.78% of its paid capital at 2.78 baisas per share for the fiscal year ended 31 December 2016.

The shareholders authorised the board to set and distribute cash dividends either in May and June, or November and December 2017, and agreed that total dividends should not exceed 9% of the company's paid-up capital at 9 baisas per share.

The Omani power company achieved a net profit of OMR 8.29 million in 2016, compared to OMR 7.08 million in 2015, showing a growth of 17.1%.
