Mubasher: Bahrain Ship Repairing and Engineering Company (BASREC) achieved a growth of 92.36% in profits during the first quarter of 2017 as compared to the same period in 2016.

BASREC’ earnings increased to nearly BHD 900,630 ($2.37 million) in Q1-17 from about BHD 468,200 ($1.23 million) in Q1-16, according to a bourse statement issued on Sunday.

Earnings per share (EPS) stood at 50 fils in Q1-17 from 26 fils in Q1-16.
