Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has denied the recent news published regarding its merger with Ahli United Bank (AUB), according to Boursa Kuwait statement on Sunday.

Kuwait's KFH is considering a number of strategic options to endorse its profitability, as well as its local and regional position.

Such strategic decisions require approvals from regulatory authorities, namely the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and the ordinary general meeting (OGM), KFH noted.

On 18 May, Bloomberg reported that “Kuwait Finance House KSCP is considering buying Ahli United Bank BSC’s Kuwaiti operations as it seeks to expand in the Persian Gulf state, according to people familiar with the matter.”
