Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Bahrain Bourse (BHB) closed Monday’s trading session 0.03% or 0.38 points up to 1,308.91 points.

The insurance segment gained 0.58%, on the back of Arab Insurance Group which levelled up 2.17%.

Meanwhile, the hotels and tourism sector went down 0.6%, dragged by Gulf Hotels which retreated by 0.92%.

The banks segment also fell by 0.11%, in line with the 2.04% decline of Al Salam which was the top loser.

The market’s trading value increased to BHD 1.88 million from about BHD 238,490 in the prior session, after the trading volume grew to 10.93 million shares from 1.12 million.
