Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell 0.2% or 19.99 points to reach 10,103.01 points in Wednesday’s early trades.

By 10:03 am Qatar time, most of the sectors dropped, with the exception of the insurance and transportation sectors which inched up 0.09% and 0.05%, respectively.

The banks sector declined 0.32% as Qatar Oman Investment Company lost 1.61%, followed by Qatar First Bank (QFB) with 1.11%, and Masraf Al Rayan with 0.9%.

The consumer goods and services sector decreased 0.25% after Qatari German for Medical Devices, Medicare Group, and Qatar Fuel (Woqod) went down 1.54%, 1.17%, and 0.25%, respectively.

The real estate sector tumbled 0.14%, while the industrials sector inched down 0.08% as Gulf International Services shed 0.75% and Qatari Investors Group levelled down 0.68%.

Liquidity reached QAR 17.44 million, after 527,920 shares were traded through 355 transactions.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of trading volume with 157,450 shares exchanged, while Qatar Islamic Insurance led in terms of traded value with a turnover of QAR 3.91 million.
