Kuwait – Mubasher: Educational Holding Group’s stock surged on Monday to its highest level in 11 years or since early November 2006.

By 12:30 pm Kuwait time, the stock jumped 13.33% or 40 fils, reaching 340 fils per share, while turnover amounted to KWD 12,310 after 39,140 shares changed hands through six transactions.

In the meantime, Boursa Kuwait’s indices saw varying performance as the price index increased 0.20%, while the weighted and Kuwait 15 indices slipped 0.07% and 0.12%, respectively.

Last month, the educational group reported a 20.9% rise in its profits for the second quarter ended 28 February 2017 to KWD 1.5 million ($4.91 million) compared to KWD 1.24 million ($4.06 million) in the same period the year before.
