Arab sales drag EGX30 lower at open

Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) declined at Wednesday’s open by 0.68% or 90.6 points to the level of 13,324.9 points.

By 10:45 am Cairo time, the EGX50 index fell 0.41%, while the EGX70 and EGX100 indices rose 0.67% and 0.35%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 55.3 million shares exchanged at EGP 151.8 million through 2,800 transactions.

Orascom Telecom, Ezz Steel, EFG Hermes, CIB, TMG Holding, and Emaar Misr dropped between 2.86% and 1.1%.

On the other hand, Amer, Egyptian Resorts, Ghabbour, and Madinet Nasr Housing rose between 2.63% and 0.17%.

Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 17 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 15.7 million and EGP 1.37 million, respectively.
