Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Oil Co, more commonly known as Saudi Aramco, on Friday said its CEO Amin Nasser has convened with the new Pertamina CEO Elia Massa Manik in Jakarta.
Through the meeting, Nasser aims to reaffirm Aramco's commitment to the Indonesia joint venture (JV) project development, the company said in a statement via its official Twitter account.
Last month, Reuters reported that the Indonesian company was postponing several refinery upgrades including those pertaining to JVs with Russia’s Rosneft and Saudi Aramco due to financing issues.
Indonesian Pertamina said it was awaiting the Saudi oil company’s approval to delay the completion of a $5 billion upgrade of its Cilacap Refinery in Central Java to 2023 from 2021. The upgrade would raise capacity to 400,000 barrels per day (bpd) from Pertamina’s current 348,000 bpd.
