UAE e-Dirham service revenues rise 25% in Q2-17
The e-Dirham system registered a total of 10.8 million transactions in Q2-17

Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE governmental e-Dirham services reported a growth of 25% in revenues to AED 2.54 billion during the second quarter of 2017, compared to the same period a year ago.

The e-Dirham services executed on the website amounted to AED 958.46 million in Q2-17, compared with those executed through the services centres at a value of AED 1.58 billion, according to a recent report issued by the finance ministry.

The system registered a total of 10.8 million transactions in Q2-17, compared to 9.96 million deals in Q2-16.

The e-Dirham cards provide a possibility of paying for more than 5,000 governmental services, including ministries and federal entities, as well as the private sector, the assistant undersecretary of the resources and budget sector at the finance ministry, Saeed Rashid Al Yateem, said.
