Mubasher: Alizz Islamic Bank on Tuesday said it has withdrawn from a possible merger with United Finance Company (UFC).

The bank added that it was not going “to explore” the merger any further, according to a statement to the Muscat Securities Market (MSM).

On 20 June, UFC said in a statement that it had rejected the merger offer by Alizz, and requested a new offer on a full cash acquisition basis.
