Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s production of crude oil rose in June to 10.07 million barrels per day (bpd) due to the growth in domestic consumption during the summer, Reuters reported on Tuesday, citing a source as saying.

The amount of crude oil which was provided to the market for domestic consumption or for exporting increased slightly to 10.1 million bpd, the agency added, quoting the source.

Reports noted that Saudi production went up slightly for the first time above its production target set by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), after some OPEC and non-OPEC members signed an agreement to limit output .

In December 2016, Saudi Arabia signed an agreement to trim its oil supplies to 486,000 bpd.
