Riyadh – Mubasher: The consumer price index (CPI) in Saudi Arabia edged down by 0.4% in June 2017 compared to the same month in 2016, keeping the deflationary trend for the sixth month in a row.
On an annual basis, the Kingdom’s deflation went up 0.7% in June, compared to May, according to a recent official statement.
The clothes basket retreated 3.5%, while the restaurants and hotels segment lost 2.4%.
Meanwhile, the tobacco segment gained 74.4%, followed by the education basket which went up 1.8%.
