MSM falls to 75-week low at Wednesday’s close
Trading volume reached to 7.68 million shares on Wednesday against 12.27 million shares on Tuesday

Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Wednesday in the red zone after dropping 0.41% or 20.85 points to reach 5,043 points, registering its lowest level in 75 weeks, or since the end of January 2016.

Raysut Cement and Al Sharqiya Investment Holding decreased 5.67%, and 1.82%, respectively.

The industry sector lost 0.76% as National Aluminum Products tumbled 6.21% and Oman Flour Mills went down 1.83%, whereas Oman Fisheries increased 3.15%.

The services sector levelled down 0.44% after Phoenix Power and National Gas declined 3.23% and 3.82%, respectively.

The financial sector shed 0.21% as Gulf Investment Services Holding fell 2.47% and Al Madina Investment decreased 1.47%.

Trading volume reached to 7.68 million shares on Wednesday against 12.27 million shares on Tuesday, while traded value decreased to OMR 1.54 million from OMR 2.6 million.
