Mubasher: The main index of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday’s trading session 0.28% or 18.65 points higher to close at 6,799.67 points.

Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices levelled up 0.19% and 0.10%, respectively.

The oil and gas segment topped gainers with 2.91%, backed by PetroGulf which rose by 4.23%.

Meanwhile, the consumer goods sector led decliners with 9.79%, dragged by Americana which lost 13.15% to be the top loser.

The market’s liquidity grew to KWD 21.40 million on Sunday from KWD 16.6 million in the previous session, after the trading volume increased to 119.30 million shares from 98.5 million.

Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 19.1 million shares were traded, rising 0.59%.

KFH recorded the highest turnover of KWD 4.2 million, up 2.13%.
