Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended the week on a decline, as the Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) lost 1.25%, equivalent 89.61 points, and closed at the level of 7,085.56 points.
The market capital decreased by 1.4% or SAR 23.6 billion ($6.3 billion) to SAR 1.679 trillion ($447.7 billion).
Traded volumes increased by 14.5% to 581.2 million shares during the week that ended 3 August, while traded values grew by 16.5% to SAR 13.7 billion ($6.3 billion).
As for the market sectors performance, the food sector index led the decliners as it dropped 3.13%, while the telecom, banks, and materials indices went down by 1.8%, 1.2%, and 1.4%, respectively.
On the other hand, media and publishing was the top gainer as it surged 16%, followed by food retails with 3.7%.
Meanwhile, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market (NOMU) declined by 2.23%, or 83.8 points, to 3,669.3 points.
The parallel market’s total turnovers amounted to SAR 12.9 million, with volumes amounting to 417,700 shares.
