KSA exports to GCC drop 26% in June – GASTAT
The value of the Kingdom’s merchandise exports reached SAR 1.99 billion in June 2017, compared to SAR 2.68 billion in June 2016, the GASTAT added

Riyadh – Mubasher: The value of Saudi merchandise non-oil exports to the GCC states tumbled 25.6% or SAR 685 million year-on-year, in June 2017, the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) said on Monday.

The value of the Kingdom’s merchandise exports reached SAR 1.99 billion in June 2017, compared to SAR 2.68 billion in June 2016, the GASTAT added.

The UAE topped Saudi Arabian export destinations with SAR 1.52 billion in June 2017, compared to SAR 2.39 billion in the same month in the year earlier.

Year-on-year, the Kingdom’s exports to Kuwait decreased to SAR 486 million from SAR 523 million, whereas Oman’s imports from Saudi Arabia went up to SAR 354 million from SAR 271 million.

Saudi Arabian exports to Bahrain amounted to SAR 350 million in June 2017, compared to SAR 439 million in June 2016.

Qatari imports from the Kingdom slid to SAR 70 million in June 2017, from SAR 612 million in the corresponding month in the year before.

Saudi Arabia's imports of the goods originated in GCC states retreated 12.3% or SAR 411 million reaching SAR 2.94 billion in June 2017, compared to SAR 3.35 billion in June 2016.

Year-on-year, the UAE's exports to the Kingdom slid to SAR 2.18 billion, from SAR 2.19 billion.

Saudi imports from Kuwait stood at SAR 86 million in June 2017, compared to SAR 143 million in the same month in 2016.
